Laser treatment can remove selected contaminants in precise passes with minimal water. It is not automatically suitable for every surface: wavelength, power, dwell time, stone composition and previous coatings must be assessed first.
Potential applications
- Carbon and soot deposits
- Selected paint or coating residue
- Carved stone and architectural detail
- Localized testing before restoration
When we stop and reassess
- Unknown or unstable coatings without testing
- Friable stone or failing mortar
- Whole-building work without access planning
- Any surface where the test patch is not acceptable
